Need Help In SNMP Trap handler

Hello I am new to the Net-SNMP. I want to read the traps from the agent in the Linux. I had installed the Net-SNMP Library. But I am not able to configure the Snmptrapd.conf file. In configuration how I can add parameters under "Access Control" section so that my own application gets the data directly. OR are there any API's in the Net-snmp that will help me to keep listening at particular port and will return me the parsed packets. I am new to the SNMP. Please help me its very urgent for me.
