Hello there! I tried net-snmp-5.3.1 on RedHat Enterprize Linux 4 running on Intel Xeon 64-bit CPU. It builds and starts OK. I have some 'traphandle' directives in my snmptrapd.conf but they don't work at all - snmptrapd only sends RESPONSE on every trap receieved. Then I build 5.2.3. It runs traphandle script mentioned in snmptrapd.conf and also sends RESPONSE on every trap. I think it shouldn't send it if it runs traphandle, or I'm wrong? On my another installation of the same snmptrapd.conf and handler-script (on FreeBSD 5.4) it doesn't send it. Here is the snmptrapd.conf for 5.3.1: ============ # snmptrapd.conf authCommunity log, execute, net SNMP_trap authCommunity log, execute, net public #doNotLogTraps yes format1 Trap from %B format2 Trap from %B traphandle "default" /home/ivan/scripts/snmptrap-handler.pl default traphandle IF-MIB::linkDown /home/ivan/scripts/snmptrap-handler.pl link traphandle IF-MIB::linkUp /home/ivan/scripts/snmptrap-handler.pl link =========== ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
