How to check problems about trap

Dear all:
 I am clement, I encounter a problem of setting up trap sending via
snmpd.conf.
 When I add the following two line, such like

  trapcommunity public
  trapsink xxx.xxx.xxx.xx public 162

Then , when I execute snmpd -f -d -Le, it represented

      snmpd: send_Trap: Cannot send V1 PDU on V2 message

and some error message which i don't understand. I don't know why , and the
whole snmpd.conf about trap is

  trapcommunity public
  trapsink xxx.xxx.xxx.xx public 162
  trap2sink xxx.xxx.xxx.xx public 162

Can any one know the reasons, and know how to check problem of sending traps
,thank you.
