Hi, I'm running NET SNMP 5.2.3-1 from Debian testing packages. When I issue a snmpnetstat with snmpcmd common options for SNMPv3 credentials I get an error. snmpnetstat -v 3 -a MD5 -u snmp -A metrolandsnmpv3pass -nr 192.168.6.4 snmpnetstat: Unknown host (MD5) Although -a is a common option, it's also a flag for snmpnetstat, and trying to treat it as such. Without using a snmp.conf file, can I get around this? man snmpnetstat snmpnetstat [common options] [-a] [-n] AGENT common options Please see snmpcmd(1) for a list of possible values for common options as well as their descriptions. -a With the default display, show the state of all sockets; normally sockets used by server processes are not shown. man snmpcmd -a authProtocol Set the authentication protocol (MD5 or SHA) used for authenticated SNMPv3 messages. Overrides the defAuthType token in the snmp.conf file. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
