Without using a snmp.conf file, can I get around this? Are you sure you're using v5.2.3? The snmpnetstat command was completely re-written for 5.2.2, and now uses '-Ca' for the snmpnetstat-specific option. The -a option should be interpreted in the same way as any other SNMP command. It's possible that you're picking up the shell-script wrapper that tries to retain the original behaviour. Try running the binary directly. I'm not sure exactly where this would be located, but if you search for files named "snmpnetstat", you should be able to find it.
