fetching dynamic integer values from the agent using snmpget command

I am new to the SNMP world. Is there is any API which will be invoked for every snmp query(snmpget) sent? Whenever I do a snmp query using snmpget, I would like to get a modified integer value from the agent(Assuming that agent has a dynamic variable which is keep changing).
