hi,
hi,
Iam using SNMP version 5.3.0.1.All the user and
access control informations are configured with
"rwuser".
When a v 3 set request is sent for a read-only scalar object,
I get the response messagse as
./snmpset -v 3 -l authNoPriv -u antonyraj -a MD5 -A joseph123 localhost
.1.3.6.1.4.1.637.80.1.1.3.5.1.3 i 10
Error in packet.
Reason: notWritable (That object does not support modification)
Failed object: SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.637.80.1.1.3.5.1.3
The count for .iso.org.dod.internet.mgmt.mib-2.snmp.snmpInSetRequests,
.iso.org.dod.internet.mgmt.mib-2.snmp.snmpOutNoSuchNames and
.iso.org.dod.internet.mgmt.mib-2.snmp.snmpOutGetResponses objects get
incremented by one.
Why the count for snmpOutNoSuchNames and snmpOutGetResponses get
incremented by one?
Is this correct?
regards,
Joseph antony raj
