Monitoring Sun's CPU, memory, disks failures w/ net-snmp?

Hello, I was wondering if any of you use net-snmp to somehow monitor for failures of Sun FRUs. SMC from Sun seems to be doing the trick, however I have no idea if SMC agents can be used to notify plain snmp trap receivers, like snmptrapd. The only thing I've found is how to integrate SUNWmasf w/ net-snmp from http://www.kilala.nl/Sysadmin/SNMP-sun.php which seems to be able to query temperature, states of PS and fans. Alas this is not entirely what I'm looking for. If anyone has done any integration of SMC agent w/ netsmp I'd *love* to hear from you. Will summarize if I find anything.
