TRAP dump

-- Open WebMail Project (http://openwebmail.org) I have installed net-snmp-5.2.1.2 on my fedora core 3 machine. I am trying to send a trap from my PC to another. The snmpd daemon is running in my PC (using the command /usr/sbin/snmpd). On the other PC snmptrapd is running (using the command /usr/sbin/snmptrapd). I have confirmed that both the daemons are running, by checking it through the ps -ef command. Now I am trying send a trap from my PC to the other using the command, snmptrap -v 1 -c public remote-machine-ip SNMPv2-MIB::coldStart my-machine-ip 6 17 '' SNMPv2-MIB::sysLocation.0 s "Just here" But i can't see the trap display at the remote machine, on the command line. But i can see the same if i do tail -f /var/log/messages. What I see is Dec 4 16:24:54 pic snmptrapd[10805]: 192.168.25.114: Enterprise Specific Trap (.17) Uptime: 7:25:16.26, SNMPv2-MIB::sysLocation.0 = STRING: Just here How can i get the trap display on the command line, rather than checking it through /var/log/messages file?
