   So you actually did get this to work? OK, that gives me hope. Here is
the output from perl -V. I installed perl 5.8.8 from a package I
downloaded from solarisfreeware.com:

Me :-) (which is why I've rewritten this part of README.solaris for
5.4).

Is this your own Perl build? What's the output of "perl -V" and "cat
configure-summary"? Have you tried rebuilding Perl particularily for
Net-SNMP, according to the instructions in README.solaris?
