If you are using the Windows binary (such as
net-snmp-5.4.0-1.win32.exe), then it is an option, but it's not as
simple as defining a HOME environment variable. This is something I
think I can easily fix so it should be in the next release.

Until then, copy the key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Net-SNMP\SNMPCONFPATH

to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Net-SNMP\SNMPCONFPATH

Add to the end of the key:

;c:/Documents and Settings/Dan

Example:

d:/Program Files/Net-SNMP/etc/snmp;d:/Program
Files/Net-SNMP/snmp/persist;D:/Documents and Settings/Alex

It does not currently expand environment variables, so
%HOMEDRIVE%/%HOMEPATH% will not work. I may add this also.

I'm thinking that %HOME% should automatically map to
%HOMEDRIVE%/%HOMEPATH% in Windows if %HOME% isn't defined.

I have updated the FAQ.
