Thank you for your help!

your snmpd.conf?

smuxpeer 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.1.2.1.2 gated_password
smuxpeer 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.1.2.2.1.1.2 dpid_password

smuxpeer 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.1.2.3.1.1 muxatmd_password
smuxpeer 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.1.2.1.5 clsmuxpd_password

And no smuxsocket settings

>- Do you also have this problem if you shut down the other smux peer
(SMUX ATM daemon)?
Yes, the problem remains.

>- Can you capture the packets on 127.0.0.1 port 199/tcp (e.g. with
tcpdump)?
Yes I can. I will send you the capture file
I did:
tcpdump -i lo0 -w tcpdump_report tcp port 199
Then start my hacmp processes

>- Have you tried to go through the source code
(agent/mibgroup/smux/smux.c) yourself? :-)
Yes, that's what I am currently doing ;-)

Thanks - Fabrice
