Thanks, that put me on the right trail. Just to complete the story, for archive purposes, I did it all in user mode: ftp get openssl-0.9.7g-sol9-sparc-local.gz gunzip /usr/sbin/pkgadd -d openssl-0.9.7g-sol9-sparc-local -s tmp find the lib file under tmp, mv it to net-snmp-5.1usr/local/lib discover now I need libgcc_s.so.1 ftp get libgcc-3.3-sol9-sparc-local.gz unzip oops, gunzip pkgadd etc again mv the new lib now, so snmptrap can see the libs... export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/tarpleya/net-snmp-5.1/usr/local/lib voila, snmptrap will now run. >From: Thomas Anders <[email protected]> >Reply-To: [email protected] >To: sam allen <[email protected]> >CC: [email protected] >Subject: Re: snmptrap without dependency on libcrypto? >Date: Thu, 21 Dec 2006 22:34:03 +0100 > >sam allen wrote: > > I'd like to use 5.1.2 snmptrap on Solaris 9, but it complains about a > > missing libcrypto.so.0.9.7. > > Is there a workaround? > > > > So it seems clear that no OpenSSL is installed. > > I can't make the missing lib from the OpenSSL packages, because there is >no > > development > > environment on this machine (no cc, no gcc, no make, etc). > > I don't see any binaries anywhere. > >http://www.sunfreeware.com/indexsparc9.html offers OpenSSL 0.9.7 binaries >(and >should soon have net-snmp 5.4 packages, too). > > >+Thomas > >-- >Thomas Anders (thomas.anders at blue-cable.de) _________________________________________________________________ Type your favorite song.
