SET command only works with system (SNMPv2-MIB) objects

Hello.

When I try to do a set command to writable objects not in the SNMPv2-MIB MIB the command fails.

It prints the following error: "Reason: (genError) A general failure occurred"

I'm using version 5.4.0. Previously I was using version 5.1.4 and the reported error was "notWritable"

Get commands work properly for all the objects.

Example command that fails: snmpset -v 2c -c public localhost .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.7.3 i 3

This one works: snmpset -v 2c -c public localhost sysName.0 s hello

This is the snmpd.conf file I'm using:

--START FILE---

com2sec testUser default public

group MyRWGroup v1 testUser

group MyRWGroup v2c testUser

group MyRWGroup usm testUser

view all included .1 80

access MyRWGroup "" any noauth exact all all all

---END FILE---

Any ideas?

I'm sorry if this has been answered before. I haven't been able to find anything like this in the list archives.

Thank you very much!
