snmp installtion properly

Hey 

 

I installed snmpbetav1 on my server and trying to get the snmp traps
working I did read the docs and followed the instructions on getting it
up and running.

 

I am trying to set it up for my cacti monitoring program how would I see
weather or not its working in my syslog and I  have it enabled on one of
my routers 

 

Or how would I check weather it has been installed and set properly.
