Sending trap from agent

Hello, I have installed net-snmp 5.3-4.2 on fc5, using the ready rpms. I have compiled my own agent, as specified in http://www.net-snmp.org/tutorial/tutorial-5/toolkit/demon/index.html, using NET-SNMP-TUTORIAL-MIB. I have tested snmpset and snmpget. Both of them works fine. The agent is working as a single agent and not in the master agent-sub agent combination. Now I want to send trap checking some parameters, using the api send_v2trap. How should i add the code for trap sending? Should i start any other thread??
