Yes - I spotted this and got quite excited.
Until I realised that this message is generated for *every* AgentX varbind
(regardless of type).   This is probably a red herring.

I'm pretty sure that the problem lies in the encoding of the OID .0.0, which
is defined explicitly as a special case in the AgentX protocol spec.
(RFC 2741, section 5.1)
