If you've installed from source, then "make uninstall" is your best bet, though it might not pick up everything. If you've installed a binary package, then there ought to be a mechanism for removing it again. It's difficult for a source-based installation to include a script to start the agent, since different O/S's handle this in various different ways. But have a look at 'dist/snmpd-init.d' Most binary packages tend to include a suitable init script for that particular O/S.
