Thanks for the pointer.

After adding "forward default <dest_IP>:162", I got the segmentation fault
on machine B

The following is what I got from gdb.

Well, you haven't mentioned anything about a "forward" line in the
snmptrapd.conf file.  This is what would actually forward the trap to the
final destination.
