RE: Net-snmp 5.3.1 trouble sending v3 trap

It seems that I have to specify the engineID now. I replaced the line
with

Trapsess -e <engineID> -v3 -lauthNoPriv -uuser3 -aMD5 -Apassword3 <trap
dest>

where the engineID is extracted from /var/net-snmp/snmpd.conf. Now
everything works. I don't have to do this before.

Thanks,
Stephen

The most likely cause is that the user "user3" isn't being created
correctly.
What is the relevant entry in the /var/net-snmp/snmpd.conf file?
