external application asks agent to send a trap - how to

Hello all, Is there some kind of entry point in the snmpd agent that would allow an external aplication to ask the agent to send a trap to the trapsinks ? Many of my trap conditions are events originated outside the agent, so I'dd like to find a way to pass that information to the agent in order for him to process it and send the trap/inform to the trapsinks.
