Thanks for the immediate response. After changing the port to 162 I am receiving the ASCII packets Received 124 bytes from UDP: [127.0.0.1]:1607 0000: 30 7A 02 01 03 30 0F 02 02 3A C6 02 03 00 FF E3 0z...0...:╞... π 0016: 04 01 01 02 01 03 04 34 30 32 04 0D 80 00 1F 88 .......402...... 0032: 80 F0 4C 00 00 C6 DE FF 45 02 02 00 8A 02 01 00 .≡L..╞▐ E...è... 0048: 04 0A 77 65 62 6D 65 74 68 6F 64 73 04 0C B4 58 ..webmethods..┤X 0064: C9 E1 99 ED 74 3B 47 95 E3 F5 04 00 30 2E 04 0D ╔ß.φt;Gòπ⌡..0... 0080: 80 00 1F 88 80 F0 4C 00 00 C6 DE FF 45 04 00 A7 .....≡L..╞▐ E..º 0096: 1B 02 02 3C 20 02 01 00 02 01 00 30 0F 30 0D 06 ...< ......0.0.. 0112: 08 2B 06 01 02 01 01 03 00 43 01 29 .+.......C.) How can I receive it as human readable data? In the above dump show the UDP port as 1607 on the receiver end why is this changing frequently? The "snmptrap" command is sending the request to the wrong port.
