Problem about using snmptrapd command

Dear all,
My OS is windows XP. And I compiled net-snmp 5.2.4-pre2 by myself.
I'm trying to test snmptrapd as follows:
snmptrapd -f -D -Le localhost
And I'm using snmptrap like this:
snmptrap -c public -v 1 localhost 42 coldStart.0
But I can't get any log message from the command line.
Would anyone give any hints so that I can find out how can I use snmptrapd?
Any help would appreciated and thanks in advance.
