I compiled from source and I used 5.4 and 5.2.4 with the same result.

P.S.
I noticed that the 5.2.4 version did not read my tradescape.config file where
I had specified the agentxSocket to be /var/run/agentx as I am running on a
Debian based Ubuntu system and I had to use netsnmp_ds_set_string in my app
code as a workaround. The 5.4 version did read that file and connected to the
master without problems.
