snmpstatus v3 authentication issue

Hello. I ran into the following issue while using "snmpstatus": ./snmpstatus -v 3 -u c -a MD5 -A 1234Qwer 10.10.10.10 This will return as authentication failed. I used -D flag and noticed that defaultAuthType is noAuthNoPriv, but -a flag should overide this. If I change in snmp.conf defaultAuthType to authNoPriv, it works. Test is performed on a solaris box(5.8) with net-snmp 5.4.
