I figure that my trap receiver is snmptrapd. I usually restart de snmpd and snmptrapd daemons on my local box with service snmpd restart and service snmptrapd restart. I used the snmpconf to generate the files snmp.conf snmpd.conf snmptrapd.conf. I thought this was the correct procedure to make a minimal monotoring service.
