Hi Dave,hi Thmos

I really appreciate your replies.

But the problem didn't resolve.

I'm very sure that I've configured the Net-snmp
software using --datadir=/tmp/yaffs --sysconfdir=/tmp/yaffs,
and add the parameter --with-persistent-directory=/tmp/yaffs
the second time.

And after I delete the old snmpd in embedded system,
I transmit the new snmpd into it via the hyper-terminal
and put the snmpd under the /tmp/yaffs
directory.I run "chmod +x snmpd" command
to give the snmpd process a privilege to run in embedded system.
Then I input the command as follows:
#cd /tmp/yaffs

Then if I run "./snmpd -f -Le -Dread_config"
it gives me the same result as I show last time.
such as "Waring:no access control information configured",etc.
It still go to the /usr/local/share/snmp directory
to search its snmpd.conf file.

if I just run "./snmpd" command. The process seems
be started, because I can see the process named snmpd
by "ps" command.

I can even get the result as follows:
#netstat -anu

proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State
udp 0 0 0.0.0.0:161 0.0.0.0:*

But actually,the snmpd process doesn't work normally,as I
cannot receive a correct value by mib-browser.When I send
a get request,it shows me "cannot connect to the remote
snmp agent".

I don't know what's wrong with it.
Do you have any idea?

Thanks in advance.

This debug output doesn't look as if this is true. Are you sure that you've installed the new agent on yourembedded system, and are invoking it correctly? Dave
