passpersist bash shell script with get and set

Hi, net-snmp gurues I want to use shell script for my MIB group. As I'm running embedded linux. All I can use is ash, something like bash, from busybox. Also, the passpersist example from net-snmp local directory is a perl script. So if anybody can send me one example on that, I'll really appreciate it.
