I was wondering what is the proper way to issue an snmpwalk on an SNMPv3 only device for testing IPv6 capabilities. Currently I'm trying the following: snmpwalk -u user -a SHA -x AES -A pass -X pass -l authpriv -n "" udpv6:[FE80::204:75FF:0A01:0101] 1.3.6.1.4.1.8698.13 Sending 60 bytes to UDP/IPv6: [fe80::204:75ff:a01:101]:161 0000: 30 3A 02 01 03 30 0F 02 02 4B FD 02 03 00 FF CF 0:...0...Ky...ÿI 0016: 04 01 04 02 01 03 04 10 30 0E 04 00 02 01 00 02 ........0....... 0032: 01 00 04 00 04 00 04 00 30 12 04 00 04 00 A0 0C ........0..... . 0048: 02 02 7E B5 02 01 00 02 01 00 30 00 ..~µ......0. snmpwalk: Unknown engine ID (No such file or directory) What is the engine ID? When I assign one with '-e' option then it complains that the "sendto" function failed, presumably the winsock one.
