snmpd Crashes after esecution of SNMP_ALARM_REGISTER

Hi all.
I've implemented "snmp_alarm_register" in order  to check every 
X seconds a variable and, if it goes beyond a treshold, send a trap 
from snmpd.
But after a certain number of received traps, snmpd service 
shuts down automatically!
WHY?
