Hello All,

We have installed net-snmp and the perl modules for it
as per the instructions given in the README and
INSTALL files. The installation seemed to be
sucessful.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
net-snmp version : 5.4
perl version : 5.8.8
Machine details:
[root@localhost ~]# uname -a
Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.18-1.2798.fc6xen #1
SMP Mon Oct 16 15:11:19 EDT 2006 i686 athlon i386
GNU/Linux
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are facing the following error while running mib2c
compiler.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[root@localhost usr]# mib2c
ERROR: You don't have the SNMP perl module installed.
Please obtain
this by getting the latest source release of the
net-snmp toolkit from
http://www.net-snmp.org/download/ . Once you download
the source and
unpack it, the perl module is contained in the
perl/SNMP directory.
See the README file there for instructions.

Earlier the same problem was raised in this group.
Adam Bell suggested to try with “—with-perl-modules”.

We tried the same but still facing the same problem.

Can anyone please help to resolve this?

Thanks,
Sumathy.B
