RE: Question about persistent community names

Thomas... Perfect answer.  My issue is that there is another snmpd.conf
file in the config path.  I discovered this with the -Dread_config
parameter.

Run "snmpd -Dread_config ..." to see where it reads the old community
name from.

You could set

  SNMPCONFPATH=/etc:"`net-snmp-config --persistent-directory`"

to restrict to a single config file location *and* the persistent
directory.
