Hello,

one of out clients has written a "little" application and he wants to
monitor the output via snmp. He's already using the OP-Manager from
ManageEngine to monitor a number of other device.

In the first state of this project we used snmptraps so send the data to
the OP-Manager, but now the client wants the OP-Manager to pull the data.

Since the application currently has nothing to do with snmp I guess I
need another application that is able to present the output of the app
in a way that the OP-Manager can understand.

The system the app is running on is a SuSE 9.0 with ucd-snmp 4.2.6.
I had a close look at the documenation and the tutorial and saw a number
of suggestions on how to use perl to set up some kind of snmp server
with could translate the output of the app.

Could someone please give me some further hints on how solve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Stefan
