If you want ammunition to support this, try running the MIB though a validity checker. (e.g. smilint or the web interface http://www.ibr.cs.tu-bs.de/projects/libsmi/tools/) If your MIB designer doesn't understand MIB tables, it's quite possible that they've got other things wrong too.
