How to let the snmpd to persist usm user changes right away?

Hi,

I use snmpusm command to update my USM user's auth/private passcode, and the command works fine. But I realize, after I issue the snmpusm command, all the changes take effect right away in the running snmpd, but it looks like the changes are NOT persist in the /var/und-snmp/snmpd.conf right away. I got a feeling the config file is only persisted during a graceful shutdown. So I got a issue here, if the snmpd crashed, or some one did a "kill -9", all my changes are lost.

IS there a way to ask snmpd to persist the changes in /var/und-snmp/snmpd.conf right away?

Thanks
Ping
