Hi to everybody! Today, I must use net-snmp for an embedded app (based on uClinux and kernel 2.6.19). For the moment, I tested net-snmp 5.0.9 and 5.2.1; But performances about response time with net-snmp (whatever the revisions) are really bad. With net-snmp 5.0.9: Response time of snmp server is average around or more 80 ms. With net-snmp 5.1.2: Response time of snmp server is average around or more 80 ms. This problem is critical for my application, because my app works only with kernel 2.6.x. Or on an another embedded app (based on uClinux and kernel 2.4.x) : with net-snmp 5.0.9: response time of snmp server is average less 1 ms. Has anybody seen a similar behaviour or an idea why performances of net-snmp between kernel 2.4.x and 2.6.x are differents, please? Which version is most appropriate for an embedded app in order to minimize overhead processing with kernel 2.6.x? Which configure options to do it? I searched net-snmp archive and googled around, but no hint to solve this problem? Thank you very much.
