snmptrapd's problem

Hi, I have a bit problem with snmptrapd demon running on RHEL4/net-snmp 5.1.2. The trouble I found with snmptrapd running "-Lf /var/log/snmptrap.log -d" option is: It received and translate the traps fine if it's from localhost. For example, the debug log show as below: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Received 35 bytes from 127.0.0.1 0000: 30 21 02 01 00 04 06 70 75 62 6C 69 63 A4 14 06 0!.....public... 0016: 01 00 40 04 7F 00 00 01 02 01 00 02 01 00 43 01 [email protected]. 0032: 01 30 00 .0. 2007-11-02 11:19:44 localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1] (via 127.0.0.1) TRAP, SNMP v1, community public SNMPv2-SMI::zeroDotZero Cold Start Trap (0) Uptime: 0:00:00.01 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- However if it's from remote host, it only shows the packets were received (as well as seen in tcpdump), but never converts to the traps. The only msg I saw the log is: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Received 35 bytes from 10.0.0.1 0000: 30 21 02 01 00 04 06 70 75 62 6C 69 63 A4 14 06 0!.....public... 0016: 01 00 40 04 82 C7 06 5E 02 01 00 02 01 00 43 01 ..@....^......C. 0032: 01 30 00 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PS : sample command I used for testing purpose was: - snmptrap -v1 -c public managerbox 0 agentbox IF-MIB::ifIndex.1 i 1 Can anybody advices what might have gone wrong??
