The "sysdescr" line would normally appear in a snmpd.conf file - typically somewhere like /usr/share/snmp/snmpd.conf or /usr/local/etc/snmpd.conf I don't know whether your embedded linux system would handle things differently - that might well depend on how the agent/toolkit was originally compiled.
