What happens if you shut down the snmptrapd process, change the snmptrapd.conf file to read > createUser 0x800000000102030405060708 test_MD5_AES > MD5 12345678 AES 87654321 restart snmptrapd, and then restart snmpd. Do you receive the trap or not? If not, then try running snmptrap -v 3 -u test_MD5_AES -l authPriv -a MD5 -A 12345678 -x AES -X 87654321 -e 0x800000000102030405060708 172.20.11.58:162 .1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8 (from the same system that snmpd is running on). Does snmptrapd receive that trap or not? Dave ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
