Yes, they provide fixes, but no new versions. So they won't change this
behaviour- and the original package is not broken- it is simply to old
for "extend" and uses "exec" instead.

I only had a short view to these packages, but it seemed it will start
only the snmptrapd when performing "rcsnmpd start" and not the snmpd.
I'd say there is something missing ;-)
