NET-SNMP perl install under windows

 
I have gone for hours over this, I have tried the makefile.pl and it errors out saying I have not installed snmp 1.8.  However I installed OPENXTRA Net-SNMP 5.4.1, and ActiveState Active Perl, and then tried even copying the files into the c:\perl\lib directory.  I seriously cannot get this function into Perl and I it is completely killing me.
 
I spoke to somebody else, one of my professors from my undergrad and they said it is very hard, but when I look at your faq's and stuff it looks easy, but I don't understand why I cannot get this to work.
 
Could you please tell me all the requirements for your install, I was thinking there would be a text file or readme file in the tar.tar file.  But anyways completely lost, could someone please give me instructions or to update the faq that is posted on how to do this, and pleae define every thing.
 
Especially if I have to add repositories and things of this nature, I noticed ppm, well on ActiveState ActivePerl there is no place to run an install command, you add the repository and that is it.
