Hi,Once I put this line in snmptrapd.conf I could see the snmptrapd receiving the traps. disableAuthorization yes But this I could achive only if I have put a sleep(1) in my subagent code before I call send_v2trap(var_list). Is it because the var_list is not being updated properlyor something else that i'm unable to debug. Please help me to get out of this concern. On 1 Feb 2008 13:40:20 -0000 "girish" wrote Hi Dave,Thanks for your quick reply.Yes this is an Agentx subagent trap. When ever some change has occurred in our database which we maintained using the subagent (scalars & tables) a trap will be triggered from our subagent, which will call function send_MyNotification_trap(void).On Fri, 1 Feb 2008 13:30:28 +0000 "Dave Shield" wrote On 1 Feb 2008 13:18:11 -0000, girish wrote: > Whenever I try sending a trap message using the function call > send_v2trap(var_list), the notify request is not reaching master agent. This is sending a trap from within an Age ntX subagent - yes? How are you triggering this trap? Where is this routine called from? Is it triggered by some external event, or in response to an incoming SNMP request?
