Hi Dave and thanks for all your responses, I din't know that this access control list can be done in /usr/local/etc/snmp/snmpd.conf. Is net-snmp default configuration always using this path for its configuration? I think I have all info i needed so far, thank you all for your responses and help. We will try to implement this and see if it works on our system. What exactly are you asking here? The Access Control configuration is usually done via the snmpd.conf file. See the FAQ entry How do I configure access control? http://www.net-snmp.org/wiki/index.php/FAQ:Agent_23 [http://www.net-snmp.org/wiki/index.php/FAQ:Agent_23] (and the one that follows). I'm a bit confused why you're asking for example _code_. Surely you don't intend to duplicate all the existing VACM processing?
