Hi,
I want to do a SNMP program in Windows2000 using VC++6.0.
I have created my own MIB file.
I want to use Net-SNMP for Windows.
Windows has already its snmp agent i.e. "SNMP Service"
After installing Net-SNMP 5.4, now my machine has "Net-SNMP Agent".
Both the "SNMP Service" of Windows and "Net-SNMP Agent " are running
simultaneously and continuously.
Now I want to write an agent program for my MIB.
1) Will I write the Master agent or sub agent.
2) Among the two agents ("SNMP Service" of Windows and "Net-SNMP Agent ")
which is going to be stopped or both should be stopped.
3) If I will write a sub agent, then my sub agent must commucate with a
master agent. What is that master agent. "SNMP Service" of Windows or
"Net-SNMP Agen.
Please let me clear about this.
Thanks you very much.
Regards
Bibhudatta
