Simply set up the snmpd.conf to allow queries from localhost (preferably using the community "public") and start the agent on a non-standard port /usr/local/sbin/snmpd 11161 (or whatever port you wish to use). Then create a file listing the OID subtrees you wish to delegate to the Net-SNMP agent, and set up the environmental variable HP_NAA_CNF to point to this file. HP_NAA_PORT would be 11161 and HP_NAA_GET_COMMUNITY would be the community you set in the Net-SNMP snmpd.conf file (if this wasn't "public").
