A bit off-topic: How do you pronounce 'SNMP'?

Hello -- I've a question that's not particularly important for using netsnmp but I'm curious anyhow. ;-) How do you pronounce 'SNMP'? I know 'ess-enn-emm', and *cough*, 'pee' would be the correct way, but once I heard a guy talking about 'snamp'. That sounded cool to me.
