	Unless you want to piss people off, in which case I recommend pronouncing right through it - "sn(u)mp".  When they spell out the letters in response, glare at them - great fun at parties.

	That would be pronounced "poh-lih-see-skript".

	OY!  Either "physically attractive" or its residue.  Not much of a choice. (Note: the latter may not be applicable where the Queen's English is spoken.)

	Although I slip a lot, I tend to pronounce acronyms letter by letter, even when there is a generally agreed pronunciation.  I do not regard acronyms as words, and generally reject contrived pronunciations - the language was bloody difficult enough to begin with.
