	Hopefully.  The real question is whether the agent has a module to process that traffic.  However, notifications (traps) can be processed with neither a MIB file nor special code, especially when one is logging them, but the MIB file can make life easier, as it can provide names, descriptions, and interpretations of the contained variables.  This processing, however, can also be done after the fact, or by another tool.

	There are several tree browsers available, including net-snmp's tkmib, but I don't know the state of any of them.  (I have a note to myself to check out tkmib once I fix my home hardware problems).

	MIB compilers are application specific, so you probably don't need them, as the applications, such as tree browsers, will come with their own compiler which they use to read the MIBs.  net-snmp also has the mib2c compiler which is used for building modules to process MIB data (i.e. for non-notification objects).
