I've tried to investigate this problem, but I can't reproduce it.
Did you compile the agent from source, or is this a pre-compiled
binary installation?  What O/S are you using?

What are the full contents of /usr/share/snmp/snmpd.conf ?

Those messages are completely harmless.
But see Official Patch 1805971 for how to shut it up.
