net-snmp compile does not like with-out-mib-modules containing all default mibs

Hi,
Wanted to compile net-snmp with all default-mib loading disabled. and incrementally add the ones, I think, I need. But the base compilation after running configure with --with-out-mib-modules" containing all the list of default mibs - fails with a bunch of undefined references from snmpd.c. Is this as expected behaviour, or I am doing something horribly wrong?
If this is an expected behaviour, and I SHOULD NOT be doing such mad stuff, any direction, on how I should go about incrementally adding only those MIBS that, I think, I need - and not load up all of the default mib modules?
